Amira Aisya is important as it is the first win by Muda.

Muda lost the six other seats it contested – Larkin, Tenang, Bukit Kepong, Parit Raja, Machap and Bukit Permai – in the Johor polls

Debutant Muda, which saw one of its six candidates making it to the state assembly by winning in Puteri Wangsa, surprisingly did not lose any deposit.

A total of 85 candidates, including all 42 from Pejuang, lost their deposits in the Johor state election

A total of 239 candidates had vied for the 56 seats in the state assembly

With each candidate placing a deposit of RM5,000, Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s party lost RM210,000 to the Election Commission. Great contribution!

Other parties which saw all their candidates losing their deposits of RM5,000 each were four from Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM), six from Sabah-based Warisan, one from Parti Sosialis Malaysia and one from Parti Bumiputra Perkasa Malaysia.

all 16 independent candidates also lost their deposits.

A candidate must obtain at least one-eighth, or 12.5%, of the total votes counted to keep their deposits.

As for others, PKR’s seven candidates forfeited their deposits, followed by Amanah (4), Bersatu (2), PAS (1) and Gerakan (1).

Debutant Muda, which saw one of its six candidates making it to the state assembly by winning in Puteri Wangsa, surprisingly did not lose any.

Other parties which had a clean slate were Barisan Nasional and DAP.

PRN Johor : Seramai 37 Calon Wanita Bertanding

10 kerusi DUN majoriti tipis PRN Johor

10 kerusi DUN majoriti tipis tumpuan PRN Johor
